Why Opportune exists
Student opportunities are scattered across Facebook pages, group chats, and school announcements. Many of us only hear about them through friends, often when the deadline is already close or has passed.
Opportune collects them in one place, checks each one against its official page, and shows what matters first: the date, the cost, and who can join.

How we check sources
“Source checked on [date]” means we compared the listed facts, such as date, venue, fee, and who can join, with the organizer’s or provider’s own page on that date.
Official pages only
Facts come from the organizer’s or provider’s own page, never from reposts. Each listing says what we compared.
No guessing
If a fee or rule isn’t stated, we say so. “Free” means the organizer confirmed there is no fee. A course tag helps sorting but never promises you can join.
Rechecked regularly
Listings are checked again on a schedule. Overdue ones are marked and drop out of recommendations, and past events disappear.
What we do, and what we don’t
We do
- Collect public facts and link to every official announcement.
- Explain student offers: the proof needed, how long they last, and any renewal charges.
- Keep browsing free, with no account needed.
We don’t
- Sell tickets, register you, or issue certificates.
- Ask for or check your student ID.
- Speak for organizers or schools. A listing doesn’t mean they endorse us.
Your privacy
- No account needed to browse. An optional account (18+) only saves listings.
- Your course and interest picks stay on the page unless you choose to save them.
- Page visits are counted without cookies. No advertising or social media trackers.
- Official links open exactly as published. Nothing about you is added.
