Terms of use

Opportune is a free directory, run by a small independent team, that helps students find seminars, workshops, competitions, calls for applications, and student offers, and then sends them to the official page.

Opportune does not organize events, sell tickets, register attendees, award prizes, verify student status, or sell the offers it lists. Organizers and providers do that on their own sites, under their own terms.

We compare every listing with its official source and show when it was last checked. Details can still change after we check. Before you pay, travel, apply, or sign up for anything, confirm the date, cost, eligibility, and deadline on the official page.

Opportune is not responsible for an organizer's event or a provider's offer, including changes, cancellations, renewals, charges, or whether you qualify. A listing is not a recommendation or an endorsement.

Using Opportune costs nothing, and you never pay anything through it. If someone asks you to pay to see or join a listing on Opportune's behalf, it is not us. Please report the listing so we can check it.

• Accounts are optional and for people 18 and older. Browsing never needs one.
• One person per account. Keep access to your email secure, since sign-in codes are sent there.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
• We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.

• copy listings in bulk or scrape the site with automated tools;
• try to get around security, sign-in, or rate limits, or access other people's data;
• submit false reports or impersonate an organizer, provider, or Opportune;
• use Opportune for anything unlawful.

Listing summaries are written by Opportune in our own words. Event names, logos, and trademarks belong to their owners, and their appearance does not mean they endorse Opportune. If you believe a listing uses your material without permission, write to opportune.students@gmail.com and we will review it promptly.

Opportune is provided as it is, during a pilot, and may be unavailable or change at any time. To the extent Philippine law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on a listing, from an organizer's or provider's actions, or from not being able to use the site.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and important changes will be explained on this page before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. Questions go to opportune.students@gmail.com.
