Cookie notice
Which cookies Opportune uses, and why there is no cookie banner.
In short
Opportune uses cookies only to keep you signed in. They are set only after you sign in. We use no advertising or social media cookies. Because these cookies are strictly necessary for signing in, there is no cookie banner to accept.
If you switch between light and dark mode, we remember that one choice in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) so the page looks the same next time. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
To see which pages are useful, we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, does not identify you, and receives only the page address (without anything you search for), the site that sent you here, and your browser, device type, and country.
The cookies
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token (may be split into .0, .1) | Your sign-in session, set by our sign-in provider Supabase. Page scripts cannot read it, and it is sent only to Opportune over a secure connection. | Until you sign out or delete your account (the browser may keep it up to 400 days) |
Browsing without an account sets no cookies. Your Discover choices stay in the page's memory only and are gone when you reload.
Your choices
Signing out removes the session cookies on that device. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, which signs you out. Blocking them stops sign-in but not browsing.
If Opportune ever adds optional cookies, such as for advertising, we will update this page first and ask for your choice, with an equally easy way to say no. See the Privacy notice for everything else we process.
